#NY #NYC The #BrooklynBridge (initially known as the #NewYork and #BrooklynBridge) links the districts of #Manhattan and #Brooklyn in #NewYorkCity. It was built between 1870 and 1883. In its construction 15.1 million dollars were spent and 27 people died.

The #BrooklynBridge is an infrastructure engineering work, whose main function is to connect the island of #Manhattan by land with the #Brooklyn area, due to the growing demand of people living there, and needed to move to your jobs in #Manhattan. Previously, this tour was made by Ferry across the East River. This route was often dangerous, due to the great speed of the river, and the changing climate of the city, which presents seasons (spring, summer, autumn and winter). In addition the trip was always a bit long and tedious, so the city of #NewYork decided to execute the construction of this structure.
