今回は、旭川市の中心部にある「買物公園」を紹介。
旭川駅前から8条通まで長さ1 kmにわたる歩行者天国として解放された通りで、1972年（昭和47年）に日本初の恒久的歩行者天国として開設された。
商業の中心として多くの客を集めている他、毎年2月には旭川冬まつりの会場の一つとして「国際氷彫刻コンテスト」等を実施している。また、9月には食べマルシェの主会場としても活用されている。旧旭川偕行社や旭橋などとともに、旭川八景の一つ。

It is also used as the main venue for Eating Marche in September.
