Nagasakibana is a cape at the southernmost tip of the Satsuma Peninsula in the southern part of Kagoshima Prefecture. It is located in Yamagawaokachogamizu (former Yamakawa Town), Ibusuki City, Kagoshima Prefecture. It forms part of the outer ring of the Ibusuki caldera, and the area is made up of volcanic rocks.
As the name suggests, the place name with “nose” is often a triangular terrain with the base of the cape spreading toward the end.[Citation needed] The cape named Nose can be found all over the country (especially in Kyushu), but it is the most famous cape among them [citation needed].
Kaimondake volcano, known for its neat mountain scenery, rises just west of Nagasakibana, and there are no obstacles to prevent it, so the view from the cape is very beautiful. Also, in fine weather, you can see Mt. Miyanoura and Iwo Jima on Yakushima far from the observatory on the cape.Since it is such a very scenic land, it has been developed for tourism since ancient times, and souvenir shops and restaurants are lined up along the line 1 to 2 km from the observation deck of the cape, and a tourist facility called Nagasakihana Parking Garden is established.Has been done.
