With over 200,000 gravestones lining the 2km path towards the final resting place of Kobo Daishi, this beautiful area of Koya-san, Wakayama Prefecture is a marvel to visit in the evening.
With tours in both Japanese and English, you can follow the path with a volunteer that can teach you more about the inhabitants and history of the cemetery itself or explore the grounds by yourself.
This was shot on my #canoneosr with the Canon 35mm and 80mm. All hand-held and stabilized in post. I was pleasantly impressed with the performance of the EOS R in low light and the footage turned out better than I had hoped.
