Nara, is famous for many things. Especially for its woodland temples, big buddha, and of course, its deers, also known as the godly messengers which are roaming around freely. It is the perfect day trip for anyone visiting Kyoto and/or Osaka. Even more so in spring during cherry blossom season!
Once you visit Nara you will definitely get a bit of a studio Ghibli vibe, making it a great place to visit. A place to have fun while soaking up some Japanese culture. Certainly, the sights are worth coming to Nara, take the big buddha which is absolutely spectacular (check out my video here: or discover the forest temples including a beautiful temple full of lanterns (you can see it here: Now add a mist of pink and white blossoms to the mix and you got Nara during cherry blossoms! Very unique and perfectly wonderful.
So I take you on a short walk around Nara Park, expect plenty of cherry blossoms in bloom and the odd deer chasing me…
