Ryoma Sakamoto is probably the best known samurai hero in the 1860s when an alliance of the Satsuma and Choshu domains overthrew the Tokugawa regime.
Ryoma Sakamoto statue was built in 1989 . It is located nearby the Kameyama Shachu Museum, and the observation platform provides a wonderful view of Nagasaki Harbor from Kazagashira Park.
