Higo Minka Mura （肥後民家村）
It is an open-air museum of old minka (traditional Japanese houses), which has been reconstructed by relocating representative house from various parts of Japan. There are seven old houses in the village, including the former Sakai family residence built in March 1830 (National Important Cultural Property), the former Fuse family residence from Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture (Town Important Cultural Property), which was built around 300 years ago, and a stone roofed house from Tsushima.
There is also a history and folklore museum which displays unearthed artifacts from the preceramic period to the Kofun period, arranged by period, and a museum housed in an old private house.
Visitors can also try their hand at woodworking, buckwheat noodle making, pottery making and lodging.

Eta Funayama Kofun （江田船山古墳）
It is the oldest and largest tomb in the Seibaru tumulus group, and is famous for the excavation of a large iron sword with a silver inlay inscription of 75 characters, the oldest authentic written record in Japan. It is designated as a national historic site.
