TRIP REPORT | Lufthansa Economy Class CRJ-900 & A320neo [new cabin] BLQ-FRA-OSL | LH285 & LH864

Join me on this trip from Bologna (Italy) to Oslo (Norway) via Frankfurt (Germany) with Lufthansa in Economy Class. The first flight was operated by subsidiary Lufthansa Cityline, using a CRJ-900. We took off from Bologna on a rainy afternoon (a huge contrast compared to a week prior!), and emerged through the clouds shortly afterwards. Service was slightly better than on the outbound flight, with coffee / tea also being served in addition to the bottle of water. Although the flight was quite full the seat next to me did remain empty, which meant there was more room to stretch out. Soon enough, we started our descent and landed at FRA a few minutes ahead of scheduled.

At Frankfurt airport our scheduled transfer time was 4h 30m – which was spent by doing some plane spotting, but mostly by exploring the various areas of the A-pier of Terminal 1, which was fairly quiet today. Eventually though it was time to board the second flight; this one being on an A320neo, and I was surprised to see that it featured LH’s new short-haul cabin. A mostly uneventful flight as it was dark and we flew over the clouds, though they did serve a snack this time, unlike on the OSL-FRA route a week earlier.
