I went to Tokyo, Japan for the first time and had an amazing travel and food experience!
For Part 1 of my Tokyo Travel Vlog series, I will be sharing with you our journey from the airport to our airbnb in Kuramae. Kuramae is a quiet town just a stop away from the more famous, Asakusa. It gives a totally different vibe even if the two places are just 15 minutes away from each other.
Kuramae has mostly residential buildings with a few specialty stores like designer furniture and bags. It has a very hipster vibe filled with lots of hole-in-the-wall quirky stores. My first impression of Kuramae is very quiet and peaceful that it can get boring, but if you explore more of the area, you will discover lots of fine dining to casual restaurants, schools, designer stores, and even a traditional public bath.
After settling in our airbnb, we took the subway to Asakusa where we saw Senso-ji temple that looked beautiful even at night. We also walked around shops near the area and had our first try at Ichiran Ramen.
