Walking Around Frere Hall Karachi City Pakistan 2021. Welcome to Tarar Support, I am in Karachi City. In this video, I am walking around Frere Hall. It is located in central Karachi. It was built during the early British colonial-era in Sindh. Keep in mind, The British Ruled in the Indian subcontinent between 1857 and 1947. Its construction was completed in 1865, Frere Hall was originally intended to serve as Karachi’s town hall, and now serves as an exhibition space and library. It was designed by Henry Saint Clair Wilkins. The total cost of the building was about 180,000 rupees, After the death of Sir Henry Bartle Edward Frere in 1884, the building was renamed in his honor. Frere was a British administrator who was known for promoting economic development in Sindh, as well as for making the Sindhi Language the language of administration in Sindh, rather than the Persian language which had been favored by the Mughals. If you visit Pakistan, you must come here. Now there are more than 70000 books, I am not entering in Library because I have to read all books. and I am not a good reader. It was built in the Venetian-Gothic style that also blends elements of British architecture with local architectural elements. I would like to know, which is the best example of colonial architecture in your country?
