This time, I took a walk in Otaru’s SunMall Ichibangai. This shopping street is one of the two major arcade shopping streets in Otaru. There are long-established Western-style restaurants, liquor stores, and pharmacy stores. There is also a street food village with small restaurants, which is crowded with locals and tourists from all over the world. It is a shopping street that you want to visit at night rather than daytime. The street piano boom that took place all over Japan began here. It will be more enjoyable to visit at night than during the day.

今回は、小樽のサンモール一番街を歩いてみました。この商店街は都通りとならぶ、小樽二大アーケード商店街の一つです。老舗の洋食屋、酒屋、薬局などがあります。また、屋台村があり、夜は地元の常連さんと海外からの観光客で賑わいます。日本全国で起きたストリートピアノのブームはここから始まりました。ここは昼間よりも夜の方が楽しめるでしょう。
