Kakunodate sounds on the street

When wandering down a wide avenue with no one else in sight, you hear a sound and your curiosity is peaked. This is a moment I will never forget. A walking meditation perhaps.

This is the traditional Samurai district in Kakunodate Japan. I traveled there for sabbatical in 2015, but was unable to review the documentation of the trip until 2021.

The sound changing the silence of the street. It really was a magical day in March where the snow was still covering parts of the ground.
