Located south of Kokutaidoro, east of Watanabedori, and running up to the Nakagawa River, Haruyoshi is filled with twisty narrow streets and low rise small buildings many of which are home to bars, restaurants, and small shops. So it’s particularly interesting after dark. For this episode, Yuki Yoshino, a former colleague and active member of NPO Haruyoshi, will be my guest and guide and along the way we’ll sample some sake together. Who are you?
Nick Szasz, a Canadian who has lived in Japan for 34 years. Thirty years in Fukuoka, three in Tokyo and one in Osaka. I’m the founder and publisher of Fukuoka Now magazine, a monthly printed bilingual freely distributed magazine about Fukuoka and Kyushu for international residents and visitors from overseas. Why are you doing this?
After publishing a printed monthly magazine about Fukuoka, I decided to branch out into video. I love Kyushu, walking, and cameras, so this seemed like a perfect combination and fun. Additionally, Fukuoka and Kyushu are still underrepresented, especially overseas. I hope that even in this small way, I can show and connect Kyushu to the world. So sit back, relax, and let me do the walking and talking!
What are your plans for Kyushu Live?

この企画の動機
20年以上にわたって印刷媒体を月刊誌として発行してきたが、ビデオも媒体の一つとして取り組みことにした。大好きな九州をカメラ片手に散策することは楽しそうだしね。福岡・九州はまだ、海外での認知度は低いけれど、規模は小さくても世界への発信ができればと考えてる。作り込んだビデオではないから、ゆっくりリラックスして楽しんで。
Kyushu Liveでの計画は？
