This time, I walked around Temiya Ginza shopping street in Otaru. There used to be a harbor and a train station near here, and this area was the center of Otaru. There were markets and public baths, and it was probably crowded with many people. Unfortunately, the Temiya market has closed, but it seems that there is still store in the neighboring Temiya New market. Festivals are held in the summer and it is crowded. After all, the number of shops is gradually decreasing, but “Old Otaru town” is here.

今回は、小樽の手宮銀座商店街を歩いてみました。かつてはこの近くに港と駅があり、ここが小樽の中心部でした。市場や銭湯などがあり、おそらく多くの人が利用していたことでしょう。残念ながら、手宮市場は閉店してしまいましたが、隣にある手宮新市場にはまだ営業しているお店があるようです。夏にはお祭りが開催され、とても賑わいます。やはりお店の数は段々減っていますが、旧小樽がここにはあります。
