Even this season, weekends in Myoko can be a little busy on the mountain (perhaps because the 2020/21 season is so quiet during the week). It’s an excellent time to visit Zenkō-ji in Nagano city.
Zenkō-ji is one of the most important temples in all of Japan, is a mere 32km scenic drive through the mountains from Myoko House and makes a great day trip when you’re having a day off from skiing or boarding.
