Talk about an impressive entrance! ⛩️❄️ This snowy gate marks the gateway to Takasumi-jinja, the last shrine along Mt. Hiko’s impressive 17km hiking track. This picturesque walking route passes through ancient forests with picturesque shrines and temples dotted along the route. The whole route will take you between 5-7 hours, so allow a full day to complete it.
📍Located about an hour from Fukuoka City, the nearest train station is Hikosan. From here take a bus to Hikosan Bessho, which is conveniently located at the base of the mountain to start your hike.
