射楯兵主神社（竃蓋神社）は、鹿児島県南九州市頴娃町に鎮座する神社である。旧社格は無格社。主祭神は、素盞鳴命と宇気母知命です。

■車でお越しの場合

①鹿児島市方面から　※南九州市役所（知覧）より約30分

鹿児島市平川から南九州市役所（知覧）まで約15ｋｍ，そこから霜出，松ヶ浦を経由し，射楯兵主神社まで約18ｋｍ。
松ヶ浦小学校交差点で左折し，国道２２６号線を指宿市方向へ。
ＪＲ頴娃大川駅周辺から看板もあります。

②指宿方面から　※指宿市方面より車にてお越しの際　約1時間15分

指宿市より国道２２６号線を直進していただき，えい別府温泉センターやAコープ大川店が前方に見える交差点を左折。交差点に看板があります。

■JRでお越しの場合

最寄りの駅は「頴娃大川駅」になります。釜蓋神社までは徒歩で１０分ほどの距離です。
※指宿駅より約50分、「頴娃大川駅」より徒歩で約10分。

Kamafuta Shrine is a famous shrine popular for its unique worship – visitors place a traditional rice pot lid atop their heads while making their way towards the shrine. The shrine’s age is unknown, but the worship dates back about 800 years. There is a god of war diefied here, and so anyone praying for victory can come and pray here. It is therefore popular with atheletes and students. Located in Ei-Okawa in Kagoshima. There are only a few trains a day here, but the shrine can be busy.
