Typhoon Faxai was one of the strongest typhoons on record to hit eastern Japan’s Kanto region in September 2019. This ferry ride started from Yokosuka, Kanagawa to Kanaya, Chiba, which was the severely affected region by typhoon faxai. We found that even after one week of the typhoon, the electricity in the town was still not available. No vending machines were working. Restaurants were also not open. Few buildings were hugely damaged.
