This time, I walked around the Hondazawa-dori shopping street in Otaru. It is located far from Otaru Station, but about 100 years ago, this area was the center of Otaru. This street must have been lively. However, there are only a few shops left now. As I walked down the street, I could imagine the scenery of many children playing on this road in the evening. Next time I would like to visit in the summer evening.

今回は、小樽の本田沢通り商店街を歩いてみました。この通りは小樽駅から離れた場所にありますが、およそ100年前はこの辺りが小樽の中心部でした。おそらくこの通りも賑わっていたことでしょう。しかし今では残っているお店は数店舗しかありません。この通りを歩いて、なんとなく昔は夕方に多くの子供たちがここで遊んでいる風景を想像しました。今度は夏の夕方に来てみたいと思います。
