道南の秀峰 駒ケ岳
北海道森町、鹿部町、七飯町にまたがる標高1,131 mの活火山（成層火山）駒ヶ岳はかつて、富士山のような円錐形の1,700メートルほどの火山だったといわれています。
たび重なる噴火活動を経て、現在のような形の活火山となったそうです。
道南NO.1の景勝地大沼公園も、この駒ヶ岳の噴火によってできたものです。（ HP ぐるっと大沼より引用 ）
小学校の遠足で、初めて函館山以外に登山した山です。
道南の秀峰、駒ケ岳。見る角度によって様々な姿を見せる駒ケ岳。今回は定番の位置からの駒ケ岳と、横津岳方向から望む駒ケ岳です。
Beautiful mountain Komagatake in southern Hokkaido
It is said that Komagatake, an active volcano (stratovolcano) with an altitude of 1,131 m that straddles Mori Town, Shikabe Town, and Nanae Town in Hokkaido, was once a cone-shaped volcano of about 1,700 meters like Mt. Fuji.
After repeated eruptive activities, it has become an active volcano as it is today.
Onuma Park, the No. 1 scenic spot in Southern Hokkaido, was also created by the eruption of Mt. Komagatake.
