We visited 川越市 (Kawagoe) in Spring 2019 and admired the old merchant buildings in 蔵造りの町並み (Kurazukuri no Machinami), did a bit of shopping in 菓子屋横丁 (Kashiya Yokocho / Candy Alley), visited the historic 川越大師 喜多院 (Kawagoe Kita-in Temple) and the smaller 蓮馨寺 (Renkeiji Temple), and enjoyed walking around some of the streets near the old merchant buildings. Kawagoe also has yummy sweet potato products that we filled up on and took back to Tokyo with us.
