D-AIJB, Lufthansa’s very newest aircraft at the time this video was recorded, approaching Frankfurt Airport on a sunny autumn day in October 2020. Despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Lufthansa decided to take delivery of some brand-new A320neos, featuring the raccoon-mask, lining the cockpit windows; this one was just 13 days in service, with its maiden flight just a month before. The aircraft, featuring the new 2019 LH-shorthaul cabin also still had the smell of a new plane, which could be distinguished even through the facemask.
Coming from Krakow, Poland, the aircraft was getting ready to approach Frankfurt on Runway 25R, passing the city of Fulda, before passing some impressive Cumulus clouds during its further descent. On Final approach passengers on the left side had some nice views onto Downtown Frankfurt with its skyline and the Taunus in the background.
The flight ended with a smooth touchdown and a long taxi to Concourse B, where passengers disembarked the aircraft by stairs, as the B-Gates only handle non-Schengen flights.
