伊勢神宮内宮の参拝後、黄昏時のおはらい町通りとおかげ横丁の散歩動画です。
お伊勢参りの〆は、赤福本店での番茶と赤福餅です。これは外せません。

おはらい町通りは、伊勢内宮前から五十鈴川に沿って続く石畳の通りで、沿道には飲食店、土産物屋などが建ち並んでおり、多くの参拝者が町歩きをお楽しむ場所です。
おはらい町は、江戸時代には参拝に年間400万人も押し寄せる、庶民の憧れの地で、その当時、日本全国から参拝者を誘客する御師と呼ばれる人々が、この通りに軒を連ね、客人をお祓いしてもてなしたことから、いつしか「おはらい町」と呼ばれるようになったと云われます。

Oharai Machi Street is a beautiful 800m stone-paved street that runs along the Isuzu River from Ujibashi Bridge in front of the Ise Inner Shrine. Along the way, there are many restaurants and souvenir shops, most of which are built in old-fashioned wooden architecture, and worshippers enjoy walking around the town after they have finished their prayers.
Oharai machi flourished as a gateway town to the Ise Jingu Shrine, and in the Edo period (1603-1868), as many as 4 million people came to visit the shrine every year. In those days, the streets were lined with houses of people called “Oshi” who invited worshippers from all over Japan and entertained them, hence the name “Oharai machi”.
Oharai Machi Street is a recommended tourist spot full of flavor, where you can experience the feeling of being a worshipper in those days.
