Kudoyama is a village built on a hill at the foot of Mt. Koya, surrounded by Kinokawa River and its tributary, Nyugawa River. It is also known as the city where the Sanada clan lived in hiding, and many historic sites are left behind. There are many traditional buildings that make we feel that it was also a post town of Koyasan pilgrimage, and we can remember the past. Starting from Kudoyama Station on the Nankai Electric Railway, we would like to enjoy a walk through this rugged cityscape.
