高山、浜松に次ぐ第三位の面積を持つ日光市は、
日光東照宮はじめ、華厳の滝、中禅寺湖、日光の名の由縁となる二荒山神社、
戦場ヶ原、温泉など、数多くの見所があります。
その一つ、奥日光の竜頭の滝。
渓流瀑の代表格的存在です。
また、四季折々の姿を持ち特に紅葉が有名で、
日光の秋の風物詩とも言える存在。
確かに私個人的にも見頃と言えば秋冬がおすすめです。
竜頭の滝茶屋の観瀑台から、左右に分かれた終点部分を見ることができます。
春夏は緑に覆われ、秋はご覧の通り紅葉に覆われ、
冬は雪景色。
ちなみに竜頭の滝は全長210m。
遊歩道沿いに中程の姿を見ることができます。
渓流瀑の場合、総じて基本的に全体の傾斜は緩やかで、
