We spent 8 days in Hokkaido with our son who was returning from an LDS mission there. See Sapporo, Otaru, Tomakomai, Noboribetsu, Hakodate, and a side trip to beautiful Nikko. We hiked to a geyser valley, camped with friends, watched fireworks on a beach, visited 3 UNESCO World Heritage sites, and ate a lot of great food, including a quintessential Japanese breakfast that included the indescribably delicious “nattou.” All that in only 20 minutes!
