Mitsukejima in Ishikawa Prefecture was named after a verb “mitsuketa”, which is the past tense of “find” in Japanese. The island was found by Kukai, the Japanese Buddhist monk, when he crossed over from the sea. We love the different atmosphere that Mitsukejima showcases at night 🌙 Thank you for the great shot @kira_masa!
