Enjoying a peaceful couple of hours at Otaru Canal 小樽運河 *Finally had a chance to eat the MOST EXPENSIVE fruit in my life* which was my next stop after staying a night at Niseko Ski Resort [ニセコ町] area before heading back to Sapporo to check into our hotel which was Hotel Porte.
A part of the canal was beautifully restored in the 1980s instead of being landfilled due to modern docks being built while the warehouses were transformed into museums, shops and restaurants and become a tourist attraction. Visit for more info about this area.
The sad thing was I was unable to visit the Otaru Snow Light Path Festival as I will be on the way to Aoomori by then but it fine as I got a fun day with my travel companion there.
🎦The footage was filmed in FEB 2020 – please follow the current COVID-19 health guidance of your local officials🙏
