Todoroki Water Source (轟水源):
It is one of the three most famous springs in Higo and has been designated as one of the 100 best water sources in Japan.
It is the oldest water supply in Japan, having been laid more than 300 years ago by the Lord of the Udo domain, Yukitaka Hosokawa, and is still used by 120 households for domestic purposes. The original water pipes were made of shiranui rock, but later they were replaced by stone pipes made of hollowed out Mamon stone.
