“Goryokaku” is the castle of the star, which is construction as Hakodate magistrate’s office of relocation that is placed at the foot of Mount Hakodate during Hakodate opened.

「五稜郭」とは、箱館開港時に函館山の麓に置かれた箱館奉行所の移転先として築造された星形の城郭です。
