This is one of the few short videos of my trip to Fukuoka in Japan.
Fukuoka, capital of Fukuoka Prefecture, sits on the northern shore of Japan’s Kyushu Island. It is well known for ancient temples, beaches and modern shopping malls, including Hakata Canal City which I visited and you can check out the video posted earlier.
In this leg of my trip, I walked around Hakata area and visited Tenjin, a lively riverside area known for its namesake massive underground shopping mall and Fukuoka Growth Next, an ultramodern tech hub with stylish bars and cafes. The park next to Kego Shrine is popular for evening strolls and street music, while Fukuoka Prefectural Art Museum has paintings and woodblock prints by local talents which I visited too. And not too far from here are the Yatai food stalls, operated in the evenings along the Nakasu canal.
Before heading to the Kawabata shopping arcade, the typical Japanese street shopping that have many shops, I made a brief stop at MOS burger store to rest over coffee and pastry after a long walking around.
In the evening, I returned to Hakata Canal City and had my dinner at the Ramen stadium (do checkout my earlier introductory video here) and had my drinks at Honolulu cafe at KITTE Hakata before wrapping my day and returning to the hotel.
Do stay tune to more of my videos in Japan and the rest of the world as I “walk-around the world”!
