This year probably the top Christmas illumination near the Tokyo is Enoshima. It’s probably not the widest, but definitely most beautiful. It has two free places, one paid. For additional fee you can see it from the top of the tower.
I climbed through outer shops of the island entrance, through the temple to the top of the island and even higher to the top of the candle tower.
