During the summer of 2020 I had the extra-ordinary luck to experience the raw beauty of North Japan as one of the 0,01% tourists in the country. I got to travel through the entire island of Hokkaido and all northern prefectures of the Tōhoku region by train and car. This short video gives a glimpse of the sheer magnificence, vastness, and purity of the nature that can be found in this part of Japan and is a testament to the fact that there is so much more to see in this country other than the Golden Circle of Tokyo, Kyōto and Ōsaka and the tropical south.
