Croatia is a country that has long intrigued us so we didn’t want to miss the chance to visit Zagreb after our trip to Ljubljana, Slovenia. We jumped on a FlixBus for the 2h15m bus journey and took some time off for Eileen to continue recovering from her injury. In this video, we head into the Old Town to take in some of the sites, beginning at Zagreb Cathedral – the tallest building in Croatia. We make a quick stop at Dolac Market en route to the Zagreb Funicular which carries us up to the city’s Upper Town. After taking in the spectacular views of the city at the top of the funicular, we head straight towards St. Mark’s Church. With its stunning tiled rooftop, this church built in 1841 is the jewel of Zagreb. We end this lovely first day in Croatia at a fascinating and unique spot: the Museum of Broken Relationships.
