Japan Travel: Koriyama Castle Ruins attractive cherry blossoms, Nara21

Nara has numerous well-known cherry blossom viewing (hanami) spots, one of which is Koriyama Castle. It is mostly ruins now, but the walls and moat of the castle provides an attractive setting for the cherry blossom viewing. The castle is located approximately two kilometers south of Yakushiji Temple, just outside the border of Nara City.

It is a ten minute walk from Kintetsu Koriyama Station.
