Touring Japan on a Motorbike, from Hokkaido to Tokyo

Two weeks touring Hokkaido and Honshu, Japan, on a BMW F800R. August 2014.

Starting in Akasaka, Tokyo, with a two-hour ride North to Oarai. Then onto the overnight ferry and up to Hokkaido.

A roughly clockwise lap of Hokkaido, then back across to Honshu on another ferry. Down the west coast and through the Alps, then across to Fuji and Kawaguchiko. Finally north, back to Tokyo.

All up it was 15 days on the road, covering around 3,800kms.

The video was shot with a GoPro Hero3 Black. Mostly mounted to the chin of my helmet, with a few bits shot while it was mounted near the headlight.
