Kanagawa is one of our favorite prefectures to visit for some great day trips (or longer getaways!) from Tokyo. If you visit this part of Japan in the future, be sure to check out Kamakura. There are many beautiful temples and shrines here, including Kōtoku-in with its impressive statue of Buddha.
