About ITO,(from Wiki)
ITO (Hucho perryi) is a freshwater fish classified in the genus Taimen of the family Salmonidae. Other names are Ito, Id, Cheelai, Obirame, etc., which are said to have been named because there are many individuals with an elongated system like threads. Previously, some anglers classified the sea-fall type as Obirame, which is different from the river-type Ito, which has a slim system like a thread, but originally Ito easily descended. It has the ability to acquire sex, and it is probable that this recognition was a mistake.
Known as the largest freshwater fish in Japan, it can reach from 1m in length to 1.5m in large ones. The largest one on record is that in 1937 (Showa 12), about 2.1 m of Ito was captured in the Tokachi River. In addition, Ito researchers have announced that it will take about 10 years to grow to a body length of 1 m, and while it is a long-lived salmonid fish, it has a very slow growth rate. This point, combined with the rarity of Sakhalin taimen, is thought to have spurred a decline in the population, so it is considered urgent to formulate protective measures.
The Japanese name means “three-spined stickleback”, which is a slender body with a low body height compared to the total length of salmon, and unlike salmon, it runs upstream and lays eggs in early spring, unlike salmon. From early spring to late spring, many thin individuals after reproductive activity were seen, giving the impression that they were “thin fish like threads.” The color of the marriage is often bright madder red, and the appearance of a large fish flipping over to the surface of the river can be seen, which can be a good target for anglers as a squirrel of Ito. In addition, Ito, which runs up in the spring, can be easily found in the Tanegawa due to the size of its fish, so it is important to thoroughly protect it especially during the run-up period.
The species name perryi was named after Matthew Perry, the Kurofune who stopped by Hakodate, reported Ito to the British biological community.
Precautions for driving in the snow.
Do not go to the pass after 3:00 pm.
I don’t drive at night. Because it doesn’t hit beasts such as deer, the road freezes at night.
Watch out for ice as well as snow.
Early refueling and breaks.
Check the air pressure and lighting of each light.
Do not overdo it. If you think it is dangerous considering the possibility of stacking, turn back.
Prohibition of cooking outdoors.
To avoid attracting beasts such as bears.
