Vlog | FIRST TIME IN JAPAN: Kanazawa Day Trip from Tokyo to Kyoto, Kenroku-en Gardens, Higashi Chaya

Day 5 of my Japan trip brings me to Kanazawa! 🙂

We decided to stop by Kanazawa on our way to Kyoto. We took the JR Hokuriku Shinkansen (Kagayaki 501) from Tokyo. Seats on this train require a reservation the last time I check so be sure to book it before you get on / if you have a JR Pass.

If you’re travelling with bags, I would recommend storing them in the Lockers at the station so you can move about freely when you reach Kanazawa.

Kanazawa was definitely a great choice for a day trip! The city was so different to Tokyo and had its own charming feel to it.
