Mikurigaike Pond is considered one of the most beautiful in Japan and situated at the highest point on the iconic Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route!! here we are lucky to admire it in the freshly Snow White version!! if you check my videos you will find other stunning views that I filmed here in summer when it was still green. it is such a stunning destination that I can’t wait to come again in the deep winter and then again in spring when the flowers come out. and by the way it is half cheaper to come here from Toyama instead of Matsumoto like I did this time!! this is a volcanic area and so the white smoke adds to the feep of being above the clouds. there are a couple of really high quality Mountain hats and guest houses where you could stay here overnight!! and there is a continuous live stream that you can see online and decide if you want to pay the money and effort to come here or not. you can find it if you Google for Murodo Live Stream!
