Hua Hin, in Thailand, is a beautiful beach community within driving distance from Bangkok. It’s just a little bit more than 3 hours away. We visited Hua Hin during Songkran, Thai’s New Year festival. Songkran is a massive celebration throughout Thailand, where people throw water at one another as a way to bring good luck for the upcoming year. It ends up being very fun!

In this video, you’ll see Hua Hin beach, Songkran during the morning (the afternoon – and more intense part – is coming up in the next video), and 2 places worth visiting in Hua Hin: Monkey Mountain and the Seven Kings of Siam at Rajabhakti Park.

✔️ How do I stay connected all over the world? I use Google Fi for high-speed internet (the same cost as in the USA, with no need to get a local SIM card. Love it!). Here’s $20 in credit if you wanna try it:

► WHO AM I?

I am a Brazilian journalist living in the United States. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world… stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!

P.S.: The funny guy who appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and he’s actually camera-shy, that’s why he’s behind the camera most of the time 😉
