新潟県妙高高原にある天空の宿・赤倉観光ホテルの最上級のお部屋です。2016年12月に新設されたPREMIUM棟には、たった1部屋だけプライベート温水プールと露天風呂が付いたテラスルームがあります。それがP4ルームです。
3階にあるP4ルームからの眺望はまさに絶景。
山々が連なるワイドビューを独り占めできます。
テラスのソファに座って開放感満点の眺望を楽しんだり、源泉かけ流しの露天風呂とプールを交互に楽しんだり。
プールは温水で35度前後のちょうどいい温度を保っているので、夜でも楽しむことができます。
温泉は白濁の柔らかいお湯で、肌がすべすべになりました。
温泉に入っていると、プールの水面に空が映って見えます。
プールの他にも、テラスの先にある水盤に空や月が映って、言葉では言い表せない美しさでした。
お部屋は、他のタイプの露天風呂付テラスルームの約2倍の広さがあります。
調度品は全て品の良い家具が揃えられており、ベッドはシモンズ社製
ベッドで寝心地が最高。
ツインベッドのベッドルームが2室あり、4名まで一緒に宿泊できます。
加湿機能付き空気清浄機があるところも安心ポイント。
空調は整っていますが、冬は暖炉で暖まることもできます。
アメニティーも充実していて、持っていくものは着替えと水着だけでOK！
さらには冷蔵庫の中に入っているお酒やジュース類が全て無料です。
いたれりつくせりです。
P4のお部屋はプールがあることが特別ですが、もう1つ特別なことがあります。それは、日本海が見えるということ。
晴れた日は窓のあるベッドルームの窓から日本海を眺めてください。
テラスからは野尻湖が一望できます。
そして、赤倉観光ホテルが「死ぬまでに行ってみたいホテル」と言われる所以はなんといっても「雲海」が見れる確率が高いということ。
放射冷却の日が狙い目です。
見られる確率は1/10。
10日に一度は眼前を覆い尽くす雲海を見ることができるそうです。
とはいえ、人気のホテルなので数カ月先まで常に予約が埋まっている状態。
チャンスがあれば迷わず予約することをお勧めします。
雲海を見ることができるかどうかは運次第。
もし雲海を見ることができなかったとしても、壮大な景色が迎えてくれますし、この素晴らしいホテルに宿泊した経験はかけがえのないものになるでしょう。
目の前に広がる山々、オレンジの朝焼け、朝靄に包まれる風景、山裾を滑り落ちる雲、立ち上っては消えていく雲海、水盤に映る青空と雲。
見るもの全てが美しく、心に焼き付いています。
私は一生に一度きりの贅沢と思って宿泊しましたが、いつかまた宿泊したいと思っています。
高価なホテルですが、それだけの価値がここにありました。
この価値は、きっと体験した人にしかわからないのです。
死ぬまでに、いつかもう一度必ずP4に宿泊します。

This is the finest room of Akakura Kanko Hotel, an inn in the sky in Myoko Kogen, Niigata Prefecture. The PREMIUM building, which was newly built in December 2016, has only one room, a terrace room with a private heated pool and an open-air bath. That is the P4 room.
The view from the P4 room on the 3rd floor is truly spectacular.
Sit on the sofa on the terrace and enjoy the open view, or enjoy the open-air bath that flows directly from the source and the pool alternately.
The pool is warm water and keeps the temperature around 35 degrees Celsius, so you can enjoy it even at night.
The room is about twice as large as other types of terrace rooms with open-air baths.
All furnishings are well furnished and the beds are made by Simmons.
Comfortable to sleep in bed.
There are 2 twin bed bedrooms that can accommodate up to 4 people.
A safe point is that there is an air purifier with a humidifying function.
It is air-conditioned, but you can also warm it up in the fireplace in winter.
Amenity is also substantial, and all you need to bring is change of clothes and swimwear!
Furthermore, all alcohol and juices in the refrigerator are free of charge.
The P4 room is special because it has a pool, but there is one more special thing. It means that you can see the Sea of Japan.
On a clear day, look out over the Sea of Japan from the window of the bedroom with a window.
You can overlook Lake Nojiri from the terrace.
And the reason why Akakura Kanko Hotel is said to be “a hotel you want to visit before you die” is that there is a high probability that you can see the “sea of clouds”.
The aim is the day of radiative cooling.
The probability of being seen is 1/10.
It seems that you can see the sea of clouds that covers your eyes once every 10 days.
However, since it is a popular hotel, reservations are always filled up until a few months ahead.
We recommend that you make a reservation without hesitation if you have a chance.

I stayed at the hotel because I thought it was a luxury once in a lifetime, but I would like to stay again someday.
It’s an expensive hotel, but it was worth it.
