Shin-Maiko Beach is located in Yahata in the city of Futtsu. Visitors can enjoy the broad expanse of the sand beach and swim in very clear water. In good weather, the views across Tokyo Bay of the Yokohama Bay Bridge, Yokohama Landmark Tower, and sometimes Mt. Fuji make this an attractive location.
The Bōsō Peninsula (房総半島, Bōsō-hantō) is a peninsula that encompasses the entirety of Chiba Prefecture on Honshu, the largest island of Japan. It forms the eastern edge of Tokyo Bay, separating it from the Pacific Ocean. The peninsula covers approximately 5,034 square kilometres (1,944 sq mi).
