Sharing one of my most memorable trips. This one is in Kagoshima, Japan!

I went there to visit close friends in February 2019. It took so long to make this video! 🤣

My friends tried the sand bath for the first time! It is one of the unique experiences you can try in Kagoshima. You wear a yukata and get buried up to the neck in hot sand (at 50 degree Celsius) for about 10 minutes. It has a lot of health benefits. I would like to try it too someday. haha!

We took a photo with Mt. Kaimondake which is also known as “Satsuma Fuji” because of its resemblance to Mt. Fuji.

We ate somen nagashi (cold noodles flowing in a rotating water basin at the center of the round table). First, you let the noodles flow in the rotating water basin. Then, catch it with your chopsticks, dip it in sauce, and eat it! There are 2 basins, one rotating counterclockwise for the right-handed and another rotating clockwise for the left-handed. It is really good!!!

We went to Sengan-en and toured the house of the powerful Shimadzu clan who ruled Kagoshima for 700 years until the Meiji Restoration.

We also took a photo with the majestic Mt. Sakurajima which just recently erupted at that time.

At the end of the day, we enjoyed karaoke! It was a great weekend!
