i didn’t even know snow monkey parks were a thing!! these monkeys are probably descendants of monkeys released by pet owners in the 1920s. the japanese macaque or “snow monkey” is a monkey species native to northern japan and is the most northern-living non-human primate surviving winter temperatures of below -15 °c.
