I went to “Banksy Exhibition: Genius or vandal” in Asobuild Yokohama. It was my first time to see Banksy’s works together. The sarcasm and antithesis of war, power, capitalism, etc. were expressed in radical works. I felt that Banksy himself was an anonymous artist who died in God, which amplified the bitterness of the message, and I wondered if it fits the atmosphere of the world today. I don’t think Banksy’s work is a decoration in the room lol
アソビル横浜で開催されていた「バンクシー展 天才か反逆者か」に行ってきました。バンクシーの作品をまとめて見るのは初めてでした。戦争、権力、資本主義といったものへの皮肉やアンチテーゼが、過激な作品で表現されていました。バンクシー本人が神出鬼没の匿名のアーティストということがそのメッセージの痛烈さを増幅させている気がしましたし、今の世界の空気感に合っているのかなと思いました。部屋にバンクシーの作品を飾りたいとは思わないですが笑
