This video captures my travel experiences in Japan from a few years ago.

* This temple is located close to Kyoto railway station

* It is believed to have been built in the 14th century

* There are two Hongan-ji temples here : East & West

* The eastern temple is featured in this video

* The temple is built on a huge premises

* Let’s check out the interior

* There was a place to clean hands just near the temple entrance

* The objects in the sanctum sanctorum glittered brightly!

* Traditional mats called ‘Tatami’ adorned the floor

* Traditional ‘Shoji’ doors were seen too

* The temple was mostly made of wood

* Wooden sledges have been instrumental in transporting
the timber amidst challenging conditions
