This is a short video of my trip to Kobe in Japan.
I took the rapid train service from Osaka to Kobe station, a mere 24 mins ride that was so smooth and fast. And the good thing is that this rapid service is covered by the JR Pass! I will be doing separate videos on using JR Pass and taking Shinkansen from one city to another later on, do stay tune!
In this day trip to Kobe, I had visited several key places that included the Harbourland Mall; UMIE, a mega shopping mall; Mosaic, another shopping mall; Sannomiya and Motomachi, where the Chinatown is located. I had originally intended to visit the Mount Rokko and Ferris Wheel at the Pork Tower, but as it was raining all day long and I was carrying too many things, I decided to skip them. Probably will return for a visit in my next trip.
For lunch, I had buffet at the World’s Buffet Restaurant that offers a great deal of 1,000 yen with over 40 dishes, including drinks, desserts and fruits. It’s a popular place among locals and the food were nice and yummy.
The Chinatown, one of the 3 in Japan, offered much lesser things to see as it’s smaller in scale and during my visit there, many shops were already closed for the day (and it was raining heavily then too) and so I headed to the shopping street, at the next street. Bought quite a lot of things there as the prices were reasonable.
For dinner, it would be Kobe Beef BBQ! There are many eateries and restaurants offering this popular dish of Kobe. The one I patronised was a family run restaurant and the food were very nice and yummy. I ordered quite a number of dishes and prices were reasonable.
I had a fun and interesting trip to Kobe, though tiring due to carrying too many things and the wet weather but I simply love it!
