Japan is preparing to welcome adventure travelers worldwide to enjoy and experience its nature in an environmentally and socially responsible way. Our group field-tested some adventure travel activities in Eastern Hokkaido in September 2020. Here are some highlights of the trip.
Day 1: Trail Walking at Shiretoko Five Lakes and Cycling to Kamuiwakka Falls
Day 2: Boat Cruise along Shiretoko Peninsula & Trail walking around Lake Rausu
Day 3: Mountain Biking from Lake Mashu & Trail Walking at Lake Kussharo
Day 4: Canoeing on Kushiro River
Day 5: Hiking up Mt. Meakan & Camping at Lake Onneto
Day 6: Cycling near Lake Akan
Day 7: Rafting on Chubetsu River
Day 8: Traverse of Mt. Asahidake
