Visited the ever popular tourist destination, Arashiyama, on the west side of Kyoto. Took a walk through the empty paths of the bamboo forest, which is usually packed with people. However it too was basically empty due to lack of travelers from abroad. Later ventured into town and visited the newly popular “Kimono Forest” at Arashiyama Station. This is a popular instagram spot with light up pillars decorated in kimono fabric patterns.
